Tips For Easier Brushing:
1. Start by gently handling the
muzzle area for a few seconds on a regular basis - end each
session on a positive note
2. Introduce a pet toothpaste, can
start just on your finger and rub along gums.
3. Introduce a soft toothbrush or a
"finger toothbrush"
4. gradually work along all top
teeth from canines back to molars in circular motion increasing
time and pressure
5. hold muzzle and lift upper lip
using up and down motion on front teeth

You Did It!
Overcoming extreme odds.... we want to
congratulate our star patient :
Starr - Starr was
rescued during the extreme cold period in January. She was
found crying in a box and brought to our hospital. It was
found that an elastic band had been place around her muzzle,
cutting of the circulation and causing her muzzle and lips to
become necrotic and infected. She is an amazing puppy, and
with ongoing medical treatment is now eating, drinking and
acting like a normal puppy!!
